Sathyam Yoga, Coimbatore, Tamil Nadu, India ("we", "us") runs yoga classes in the studio and live online. This page explains what the Sathyam Yoga app (Android) and our website collect, why, who sees it, how long we keep it, and how you can delete it. We do not sell your data and we show no advertising.
1. What we collect

| Pose score: during a live class, your phone looks at your camera picture to estimate the position of your body and compares it with poses recorded by our instructors | To give you a mark for each asana and a score for the class. This happens on your phone: no picture or video is sent or saved for it. Only the marks are stored, with your history. Your instructors and the studio administrators can see them. You can switch it off in the class by tapping the "Pose score" label. |

2. How we use it
- Run your account, class access, live classes, attendance, fees and payments.
- Send reminders and notices you need (class starting, fee due, access approved).
- Keep classes safe, handle complaints and remove abusive content.
- Answer your questions and requests.
3. Who sees it
- Studio administrators and your instructors, as needed to run the classes.
- Other members see your name and your chat messages inside groups you are in, and your video and audio during a live class.
- Service providers that work for us: Google (Firebase Authentication and Cloud Messaging for sign-in and notifications), Razorpay (payments), and our web hosting provider (where the records are stored).
- We do not sell, rent or trade your personal data, and we do not use it for advertising. We may disclose information if the law requires it.
4. How we protect it
All traffic between the app and our servers uses HTTPS. Member records are stored encrypted on our server. Access is limited to authorised staff. No system is perfectly secure, but we work to keep your information safe.
5. How long we keep it
- Chat messages: 30 days.
- Profile, membership, attendance and payment records: while your account exists. When you delete your account they are deleted too (see below).
- Razorpay, your bank and Google keep their own records under their own policies and the law.
6. Your choices and rights
- Change your details any time in the app: Settings → Edit my details.
- Turn notifications and camera, microphone or location permissions off in your phone settings.
- Delete your account and data in the app: Settings → Delete my account, or follow how to request deletion.
- You may ask us what we hold about you, ask us to correct it, or withdraw consent, by contacting us below.
7. Children
The app is meant for people aged 13 and over. Younger children may take classes only through a parent or guardian, who should create and manage the account.
8. Health notice
Yoga involves physical postures and breathing. Practise within your limits and speak to your doctor first if you have a medical condition or are pregnant. Information in the app is not medical advice.
9. Changes to this policy
If we change this policy, we will update the date at the top and, for important changes, tell you in the app.
