Terms of Service

These terms apply when you use the Sathyam Yoga app (Android) or our website to join, attend or pay for yoga classes run by Sathyam Yoga, Coimbatore, Tamil Nadu, India ("we", "us"). By signing in you agree to them. How we handle your information is explained in our Privacy Policy.

1. Your account

• You sign in with your Google account. Keep that account secure: anything done while you are signed in is treated as done by you.
• Give true details when you join, including the optional safety note if you have a condition your instructor should know about.
• The app is meant for people aged 13 and over. Younger children may take classes only through a parent or guardian, who creates and manages the account and accepts these terms for them.
• The studio approves new members and decides which classes each member can join.

2. Classes

• Classes are held in the studio and live online. Timings, instructors and class content may change; we tell you in the app when they do.
• Live classes use your camera and microphone so the instructor can guide you. The app does not record you. If an instructor records a class, they say so in the class.
• You may not record, screenshot, stream or share a live class, or other members, without the studio's permission.
• The pose score is an automatic estimate made on your phone to help you practise. It is not a professional or medical assessment.

3. Health

Yoga involves physical postures, breathing and stretching. Practise within your limits and stop if something hurts. If you have a medical condition, an injury or are pregnant, speak to your doctor before you start and tell your instructor. Information in the app and in classes is not medical advice, and you take part at your own risk, to the extent the law allows.

4. Fees and payment

• The studio sets the fee for each class or plan and shows it in the app, with its due date.
• You can pay online in the app or on the website through Razorpay (UPI, card, net banking and other methods Razorpay offers), or pay at the studio. Card, UPI and bank details are entered on Razorpay's screen; we never see them.
• An online payment may be received in the Razorpay account of the instructor who teaches your class, on behalf of Sathyam Yoga. The app shows your payment as paid once it is confirmed.
• Fees are in Indian Rupees (INR). Your bank or payment provider may charge its own fees.
• If a fee is not paid by its due date, access to that class may be paused until it is paid.

5. Cancellations and refunds

• If you were charged twice or charged the wrong amount, contact us within 7 days of the payment. We will check it and refund the extra amount to the original payment method. Refunds through Razorpay usually reach you in 5–7 working days.
• If we cancel a class and do not offer a replacement session, contact us and we will adjust your fee or refund that part.
• Other refund or cancellation requests are decided by the studio case by case. Contact us before your plan starts where possible.

6. Conduct

• Be respectful to instructors and other members in the studio, in live classes and in group chats.
• Do not post abusive, offensive, misleading or unlawful content, advertise, or share other people's details.
• Do not try to get around sign-in, class access or payment checks, or interfere with the app or website.
• We may remove content, remove you from a class or group, or close an account that breaks these rules.

7. Our content

Class sessions, videos, pose recordings, posts, the Sathyam Yoga name and logo belong to Sathyam Yoga or its instructors. You may use them for your own practice only, not copy, sell or publish them.

8. Notifications

We send notifications you need to use the service, such as class reminders, fee reminders and access decisions, and studio announcements, including those of our associate community initiative Siragugal Parakkatum. You can turn notifications off in your phone settings or ask us to stop promotional messages.

9. Ending your account

You can delete your account any time in the app (Settings → Delete my account) or by following how to request deletion. Fees already due are still payable. We may suspend or close an account that breaks these terms or that the law requires us to close.

10. Availability and liability

We work to keep the app, website and live classes running, but they may sometimes be unavailable, for example because of internet or provider problems. To the extent the law allows, we are not responsible for indirect losses, and our total responsibility for any claim is limited to the fees you paid us for the class concerned in the previous three months. Nothing in these terms limits rights you have under Indian consumer law.

11. Changes to these terms

If we change these terms, we will update the date at the top and, for important changes, tell you in the app. Continuing to use the service after a change means you accept the new terms.

12. Law

These terms are governed by the laws of India. Disputes are subject to the courts of Coimbatore, Tamil Nadu.
